Frédéric Philibert, the parent of an autistic boy, created this wonderful animated film in 5 minutes. "The girl tries to understand why her younger brother, who has autism, isn't well-liked by other children and offers her own version of events."
The film won the Grand Prix and Audience Award at the 2007 Handica-Apicil Short Film Festival (a short film festival dedicated to the rehabilitation of people with disabilities).
Frédéric Philibert: "When we realized our son had problems, the pediatrician referred us to the mental health center where we, the parents, were attending psychoanalysis sessions. We began looking for other solutions for caring for sick children in hospitals and at home, and in parallel, we decided to create a film. It was a way to tell a short story and discuss the issue of autism in a very simple and understandable way. This film can be seen by everyone: parents, professionals, those for whom autism means nothing, and those who have experienced it in their lives."
