Left 4 Dead was a game that gained popularity upon its release and quickly spawned a second installment. The first installment in the series launched in 2008, followed quickly by a second installment in 2009. However, despite the eager anticipation and longing of many since then, a third installment hasn't been released.
We weren't the only ones bothered by this situation, as the series' developer, Back 4 Blood, has released a spiritual sequel to Left 4 Dead. The game reeked of Left 4 Dead in every way, and everyone agreed it was a true spiritual sequel. We've compiled a list of things you need to know about this newly released spiritual game before you start.
Things you need to know before starting Back 4 Blood
Don't start the game on Veteran difficulty
Play primarily online
Travel with your team
Avoid traps that will trigger zombie hordes
Make sure someone always carries a Toolkit
Always use the Copper Scavenger card
Don't forget to purchase team upgrades
Don't forget to use markings
Arrange your card deck in a specific order
Melee weapons are more useful than you think
You might want to start the game on Veteran difficulty, as it seems like normal difficulty. Even as a long-time Left 4 Dead player, you might be confident enough not to think twice about the difficulty level. But surprisingly, Veteran difficulty is harder than you might expect. If this is your first game, we definitely recommend Recruit.
