In this tutorial, we use the redircmp command to automatically redirect newly joined computers into a specific Organizational Unit (OU) in Active Directory — instead of landing in the default Computers container where Group Policy cannot be applied effectively.

This is a hugely practical tip that every IT admin should implement immediately after building a Windows Server domain. Without it, every new domain-joined computer requires a manual move to the correct OU.

What you will learn:
✅ Understanding why the default Computers container is a problem
✅ Using the redircmp command to redirect new computer accounts
✅ Setting the target OU for all future domain joins
✅ Testing automatic OU placement with a new domain-joined PC
✅ Reverting the redirect if needed

Who this is for: Windows Server admins and IT professionals who manage Active Directory domain environments at any scale.
