Time for a new book review.
This book was an overnight success in the Netherlands from Lize Spit whose debut novel about a young woman Eva taking revenge on her childhood town. Eva loads a huge block of ice into her car boot and drives to the village where she grew up. What will she do with this ice?
This is a book that was recommended to me by my Dutch work colleagues as a book that was making waves in their own country. I was lucky to find an English translation at my local library. It's not a genre I usually read but I'm glad I read this. It's a hefty book with over 400 pages and written in such a way that you really need to read every single word and sentence because of the images it evokes in your head and which the situation is revealed ever so slowly.
Have you read this book?
