This fight was easier than I feared it might be. The ballista assists from the Tenakth seem to do a decent amount of damage, or this Slitherfang's overall health is just lowered quite a bit. The strategy is pretty straightforward, I'm just trying to keep one of the stone pillars between me and the Slitherfang, and pelt away at relatively safe angles while the pillars catch most of his attacks, particularly his Tail-Bolt.
8:35 As I land the final blow here, I think he killed me at the same time I killed him, and some kind of protection measure might have saved me. There's a frame here where my health seems to drop to exactly 1. Regardless, I'm taking the win and moving on.
It's worth noting I got a Slitherfang Circulator out of this fight, as well as a Large Machine Core. Those are useful resources for purchasing a piece of gear in Thornmarsh. Not sure if I'll need it or not yet, though.
