In the late 1980s, India was sucked into the vortex of the Sri Lankan civil war. It would become India's own Vietnam. Ultimately defeated they left behind thousands dead and the casualties included a former prime minister. This video tells the story of the origins of the war, and how India came to be an army of occupation on the Jaffna Peninsula.
