10. Duck Foils Giant Tiger
Ducks are extremely intelligent creatures that protect themselves by flying or swimming when predators approach. But this duck seems to have no escape when a deadly tiger lands right in its pond, trying to make a meal of the poor bird. But that's where the bird's quick thinking and athleticism come into play. When the tiger approaches the bird, the duck quickly dives into the water, moving and changing position, only to reappear on the other side. When the tiger locates the duck and resumes its pursuit, the bird does the same, immediately submerging itself in the water to escape the wild cat's reach, frustrating it time and again.
9. Leopard Cub Outsmarts Hyena
Leopards are incredible climbers who spend much of their time in trees, even carrying their prey up there after a successful hunt. These agile animals can climb trees in seconds to protect themselves from any danger and possess the kind of stealth that makes them one of the most successful hunters in nature. This cub may be only eleven months old, but it has all the skills necessary to outwit a deadly hyena. Hyenas are ruthless animals that like to hunt in large packs, and that's how they manage to dominate even the deadliest wild cats. This hyena, however, becomes separated from its pack of four and passes by a young leopard cub that its mother had left hidden under a bush while she went hunting. When the hyena catches the leopard's scent, the predator returns and tries to hunt the wild cat. The moment the hyena sees it, the cub runs away, but, of course, since the hyena is a full-grown adult, it has no trouble chasing the young wild cat. But the cub was clever, and as soon as it spotted a tree, the leopard used its claws to climb it, leaving the hyena unable to pursue it any further.
