Datça Adventure: A Dream-Like Day | Spearfishing & Rod Fishing | Catch & Cook
Hello friends! Today, I invite you to a dream-like day in the breathtaking atmosphere of Datça, which I thoroughly enjoyed preparing, where music and action are in perfect cinematic harmony. In this video, you will feel both adrenaline and motivation through pleasant moments on the surface and the deep silence underwater. 🌊🔱🔥
We started the day at BLC Camping, loaded all our gear onto our small off-road vehicle, and reached the shore. From there, we hopped on our boat and set sail into the turquoise waters of Datça. First, we cast our lines and went after the aggressive Mahi Mahi. The adrenaline-filled moments we experienced with these powerful fish, which jumped out of the water and did flips in the air from the moment they got hooked, were truly worth seeing. After this exciting rod fishing session, we changed boats and entered a magnificent, hidden bay with no land access. After swimming a bit in this unique bay and shaking off the fatigue of rod fishing, I prepared my diving gear and transitioned into the magnificent world underwater.

Speargun Loading: How to load a double-band speargun in the safest and most practical way? I demonstrated it step-by-step underwater.
Cinematic Camera Angles: I diversified my filming technique in this video. By turning the camera mount on the speargun towards myself, I captured unique, cinematic footage that merges with the rhythm of the music as I descend. Combined with different angles from above, you will see the underwater world from a completely different perspective.
Highlights of the Hunt:
Mahi Mahi Struggle: We caught these aggressive fish by spinning and trolling with Major Craft Jig Para Zebra Glow (10-15g) and the legendary Ragot Raglou soft baits.
Trophy White Seabream: Out of a large school, I patiently waited for and caught that legendary Sargos, whose mouth remained crooked from a previous injury.
Moray Eel Battle: I tracked the Moray Eel that escaped on the first shot. To protect the spear tip in the rocky structure, I dropped the double bands to a single band and completed the hunt with a technical shot.
At the end of the day, we had a Moray Eel and Mahi Mahi feast over a wood fire. It was a delicious closing filled with great conversation, sharing the story of the hunt with my friend Anıl. 🥘🔥
