The documentary explores one of the fiercest and most overlooked conflicts of World War II: the British campaign against the Japanese in Burma (modern-day Myanmar). Known as “The Forgotten War”, this brutal struggle was fought across dense jungles and rugged mountains over an area the size of Western Europe.

The British 14th Army, the largest Commonwealth force ever assembled, with over one million troops, 65% of them Indian and Gurkha soldiers, played a vital role in halting the Japanese advance and defending British India. Massive airlifts delivered hundreds of thousands of tons of supplies and reinforcements as the Allies fought bitter battles against a determined enemy.

Through archival footage and firsthand accounts, the film highlights the immense sacrifices, strategic importance, and decisive victories of this often-neglected campaign, which proved crucial to the defeat of Japan in the Asian theater of World War II.
