Our top 5 tips for naming your new blog:
1. Get a .com .net or .org domain name if possible. Avoid .blog .train etc!
2. Do consider using your first name in your domain. First + Last is a good plan, too.
3. Keep it short & witty. (But no puns!)
4. Do ask a friend what they think.
5. Try to get similar account names on Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter. (But don’t worry if you can’t get it exactly)
And 5 things you MUST avoid:
1. Beware of typos, especially when purchasing your domain! Check 3 times!
2. Don’t get too specific: Choose a general theme & allow your blog to evolve organically
3. Probably don’t pay for an expensive premium domain right away
4. Don’t use more than 3 or 4 words in your domain - keep it simple
5. Don’t stress too much now! You can change your name & domain later once you gain experience as a blogger.
