In Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 126, Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) makes a profound supplication to Allah, asking for blessings of security and sustenance for the people of Makkah. He prays: "My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits—whoever of them believes in Allah and the Last Day." Allah responds by affirming the provision for both believers and non-believers, yet making it clear that for those who disbelieve, their enjoyment is temporary and limited to this worldly life, while their ultimate fate will be the torment of Hellfire.
This verse highlights the importance of both physical and spiritual security. It also reminds us that sustenance is a divine blessing, but ultimate success is reserved for those who maintain faith in Allah and the Hereafter.
