Luthier Video - Making a Bone Bass Nut from a Blank
This time I'm creating a nut from a blank piece of bone. I'll cover reducing the thickness, width, height then and cut/file the starter slots using nut files.
The majority of this is the same process for either bass or guitar, only the slotting is really any different. It is also the same process for other materials eg - brass, ebony, tusq.
