If you want to charge your car using a regular socket, you can either do so with an emergency charging cable with an ICCB, i.e., a charging cable equipped with a control box, or you can charge with a portable wallbox, such as the go-e Charger and a suitable adapter.

If you want to charge significantly faster, I recommend installing a wallbox with 11 kW or 22 kW charging capacity at home.
Whether you need an 11 kW or 22 kW wallbox depends on various factors, such as your connected load, the charging capacity of your electric car, or the charging cable. You can find simple and smart wallboxes at specialist retailers or from your installer.
► Simple Wallbox
A simple wallbox is relatively simple. It can communicate with the electric car during the charging process and adjusts the power supplied to the electric car's on-board charger and the current state of the battery. But that's about it.
► Smart Wallbox
Smart wallboxes, on the other hand, like the go-e Charger, can do much more and make charging your electric car more convenient, economical, and sustainable. They enable, for example, the use of electricity from a photovoltaic system, flexible electricity prices, or load management.
These are all convenient features that an electric car owner shouldn't be without.

A smart wallbox also allows you to charge with electricity from a solar system, which is especially exciting in times of high electricity prices.
If you charge with a smart device with PV surplus functionality, for example, you can control how and when you want to charge with PV power. The go-e Controller is such a device. It has sensors that measure how much energy your PV system is producing. The controller then sends this information to the go-e Charger, and the wallbox adjusts the charging power accordingly.

▬ Install a wallbox at home to charge your electric car at home ▬▬▬▬▬▬
In the garage or in the driveway. The exact installation depends on the charging station and whether it is a stationary or mobile wallbox.
A stationary wallbox, such as the go-e Charger Gemini, is only suitable for local use. It is therefore permanently mounted on the wall and must be connected to the building's power grid by an electrician.
A mobile wallbox, such as our go-e Charger Gemini flex, can be easily mounted on the wall and put into operation yourself. If your socket meets modern standards, you don't need an electrician. And, as the name suggests, says it's mobile because you can simply remove it.
