Tagging someone on an Instagram Story is a simple way to give credit, mention friends, or bring attention to another account. When you tag someone, they’ll receive a notification and the tag will link directly to their profile, making it easy for others to visit their page. This feature works whether you’re posting a new Story or editing one you’ve already uploaded.
To tag someone before uploading your Story, open the Instagram app and create a Story by taking a photo, recording a video, or selecting media from your gallery. Once you’re on the editing screen, tap the stickers icon at the top of the screen. From the sticker options, select “Mention.” Type the username of the person you want to tag, then choose their profile from the list.
