Here's my technique for glazing the inside of a bowl. These particular bowls were waxed on the rims so that I could stack them rim-to-rim in the kiln. I start by filling the bowl about 1/3 full of glaze, then twisting the bowl in my hand the opposite way I will turn the bowl when pouring. It all happens very quickly, especially with small bowls like this one. The liquid leaves the bowl almost all at once. The twist during the pour is quick, so the glaze coats all the inside, without flowing over the rim and getting on the outside. It takes a bit of practice, and I still manage to mess a few up. Larger bowls are done with two hands. Thanks for watching.
