The conference titled "Human Translation vs. Machine Translation: Competition or Collaboration", which was organized by Arel Translation Club (ARÇEV) for the first time in Turkey, took place at Istanbul Arel University.
Among the distinguished guests who gave their presentation at the conference were;

The conference was open to all people who had an interest in the field of machine translation. The topics mentioned below were covered in the conference;
●future directions in machine translation technology, especially in neural machine translation
● integration of machine translation into translator training; machine translation pedagogy
● integration of pre-editing and post-editing into translator training.
● guidelines/rules for post-editing, controlled authoring
● existing and future role(s) of human translators in the machine translation workflows, especially in engine tuning practices

We strongly hope that this conference was beneficial and thrilling for all the participants who were a part of this event.
