Send Effects - Treating Your DAW Like An Analog Console

Emulating the signal flow of an analog console within your DAW can be beneficial in many ways. One of those ways comes into play when utilizing wet/dry effects that engineers commonly set up as “send” effects within the analog world.
It’s easy to get carried away throwing a million plugins on a single track now that we can all do so with the click of a button. In my opinion, this isn’t necessarily a good thing.
I’m a huge fan of simplicity. I go as far as intentionally limiting my tools in order to stay focused, creative and never disrupted from my flow state while digging into a mix. Utilizing send effects in an “analog” way is something I couldn’t imagine living without at this point.
