There are enormous opportunities for cities to grow through emerging technologies, urban policy and sustainable practices. What leadership is needed to keep Chicago globally competitive into the future?

This fast-paced, enlightening forum—part one in an ongoing series at the Chicago Architecture Center—included Phil Enquist, Consulting Partner at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and Global Cities Design Practice Co-Founder; Kerrie Holley, Technology Fellow and Senior Executive at Optum and United Health Group; Henry M. Paulson, Jr., Chairman of the Paulson Institute; and Patricia Holly Purcell, Head of Partnerships, City Program for UN Global Impact. CAC President and CEO Lynn Osmond moderated the discussion.

"What's Next: Designing the Future City" was held on May 9, 2019 in the Joan and Gary Gand Lecture Hall at the Chicago Architecture Center. The What's Next? series is generously supported by Sandra Helton and Norman Edelson. Visit https://www.architecture.org/programs to learn more about upcoming events at the CAC.
