If you get reported too many times for hacking in Modern Warfare 2, Activision will automatically remove you from normal matchmaking and only place you in lobbies with actual cheaters and real aimbotters. This is their version of a working anti cheat in 2023. You don't even have to be cheating to get punished like a cheater. This process is called a " Shadow Ban " and makes it so you basically cannot play the game until your account is reviewed and cleared of any suspicious activity.
