The kernel is the central brain of your OS. You can tweak it to your needs...and desires. I'll show the process that every system maintainer goes through (be it with more routine) to bring the perfect kernel to the desktop.
The compile I do here will fail, sadly. But, I'll show how to get back in the saddle by selecting the still present and working kernel to get the system back in action...
