Coiled Cables | Tez Cables & ZUZU cables
I honestly don't know too much about coiled cables, so this video doesn't go too in depth. Overall, I do really like these cables and would consider buying from ZUZU cables again in the future.

There is a reason behind why TEZ cables can offer these coiled cables at such a good price, and according to this reddit post I found, it’s because TEZ cables actually gets a factory in China to manufacture their cables that they then sell to you. In the post, the OP believed that TEZ cables was ripping people off by buying cheap cables off of AliExpress and then marking them up to sell to western consumers. But according to TEZ cables, this is not true. Apparently, the vendor for the AliExpress listing was the factory that TEZ cables worked with, but they decided to then create a post on AliExpress to sell the same cables. It’s not entirely clear whether TEZ cables is telling the truth since there wasn’t any verification provided for this information. I don’t think that this revelation makes it so that the cables are inherently inferior, but I thought that it was important to mention this so that people don’t get mixed up and think that they’re buying a handmade custom coiled cable. Either way, I think that TEZ cables are a good option for those trying to get the coiled cable look but don’t want to pay premium prices to get them. There have been reports from some customers saying that their cables are not super durable, but luckily they have a 30 day return policy, and the person in charge seems to be super nice when I interacted with them.
For me, I had bought 3 cables from them to use on various keyboards, but had to return the Mizu Blue and Snow day cables due to issues with the aviator connectors. Unlike the black cable that I kept, the blue and white cables use white aviator connectors. The reason why this is an issue is because the white color is achieved through using paint which makes the fastener super hard to screw in. This also strips the paint from the connector which looks pretty bad when you unscrew the fastener and look at the threads of the aviator connector. There were also some paint chipping on the other parts of the connector.
I emailed TEZ cables about this problem and they were super nice and offered replacements or a return. Unfortunately, all the cables in the MIzu and snow day colorway had this issue so they could only replace them with other colors, so I took the return instead. They said that they would be getting a new batch around April or May that wouldn’t have these issues, but it’s now almost the end of May and I have yet to see the new cables being listed on their store. Looking at their social media pages, it looks like it’s been some time since their last update so I don’t know if the store is still active.
If you really do want cheap cables though, I guess there are vendors on Alibaba that are selling cheap coiled cables. I personally have not checked them out so I can’t guarantee that they will hold up with use, but it might be worth a shot considering that custom coiled cables are so much more expensive.
