Tutorial -1 (AutoCAD Basic)

I am using the AutoCAD Vension Twented thirteen & However if you have another version this will not be a problem, because different versions can change a bit the layout or the newest ones have more features - Expect this all the basic & main things are mostly the same so let's start this tutorial with some Basic.
1. What is CAD?

CAD means “Computer-Aided Design” by which we can create a model for the requirement with the help of Computer-Aided Design.
2. What is AutoCAD?

AutoCAD is a drawing software package developed by the company “Autodesk”. It is one of the most widely used software for creating drawing easily & quickly. AutoCAD is a semi-parametric, command-based, low-end, Non-associative & best drafting software.
Semi-Parametric- It means parameters can be modified up to certain limits.
Drafting- It is the skeleton representation of an object on a paper with perfect geometrical dimensions & Tolerance.
3. Advantages of AutoCAD

More accurate product.
Reduce the time and manpower around 50%.
Running cost is low compared to others.
4. Disadvantages of AutoCAD

Getting skilled manpower difficult & want to pay more money.
5. HARDWARE AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Os- Operating System must be Windows XP Service pack 2 Onwards.
The processor must be Pentium 4 Onwards.
RAM must be 256 MB & more.
Graphics Card should support 1024*768 VGA.
To take out the print of the designs you just need a printer/plotter.
6. Functional Keys

F1- Used for the AutoCAD helpline.
F2- Used for AutoCAD Command Window.
F3- Used for Osnap on/off. Osnap means Object Snapping.
F4- Used for 3D Osnap on/off.
F5- Isoplane Top, Right & Left on/off.
F6- Used for Dynamic UCS on/off.
F7- Used for Grid on/off.
F8- For Ortho Mode on/off.
F9- For snapping on/off.
F10- Used for Polar Tracking on/off. To make Angular.
F11- Used for Object Tracking on/off.
F12- This key is used for a dynamic view of dimension in cursor on/off.
7. Shortcut Keys

CTRL + 0- Clears the screen.
CTRL + 9- Hide/show the command window.
ESC- Release from the command or deselect an object.
CTRL + Z- Undo.
CTRL + Y- Redo.
CTRL + S- Save.
CTRL + N- New.
