It works on a server IF you have command permissions. Works in every single player world effortlessly. I have a flat world for my redstone farms all lined up, and another for my builds all lined up - you can use it like a museum :D - Run around inside the builds/farms and change them how you see fit before loading a new schematic to place in the server/world.
Works in all versions of Minecraft, 1.21 1.20 1.19 1.18 and everything prior
