In urban design and landscape architecture often legends need to be added to drawings. In the first place as a guide for the reader but it can also help to organize calculations. The 'Quick Hatch Legend' command is created to generate an instant legend with calculations. At the start of the command the user can change some settings. The most interesting one is the option to export the legend to Excel. All settings have predefined values so there's no need to define anything. When everything is set the user needs to pick a point to position the legend. As soon as the point is picked the command will generate a legend of all the hatches in the drawing. With every entry the sum of the area of hatches which share relevant properties will be added to the legend, along with a box with an example of the hatch and it's properties and the layer name. Relevant properties are properties which affect the graphic of the hatch. An example of an irrelevant property is linetype with solid hatches. To see what happened with every entry the command creates an overview in the command line. For every entry all considered properties are listed including any calculations. So if an entry was unexpected the user can check why it was added.
