Cisco Packet Tracer Installation Guide on Linux Mint & Other Ubuntu Derivatives
We created this video tutorial because some students are reluctant to use Linux due to the misconception that Cisco Packet Tracer cannot be installed on Linux-based operating systems. Others say that installing Cisco Packet Tracer on Linux is very difficult. This video aims to dispel these misconceptions.
For those unfamiliar with Cisco Packet Tracer, it is a computer network simulation application offered by Cisco. This application is widely used to help students learn computer network configuration, especially those based on Cisco devices, without requiring access to the physical device.
For this tutorial, we use Linux Mint Xfce Edition. However, this guide can also be applied to other Linux distributions derived from Ubuntu Linux, such as Pop OS, Zorin OS, Elementary OS, Linux Lite, and several other Ubuntu derivatives.
