Rockstar Games is slowly but steadily killing its legacy. As the creators of the grand theft auto series, they built their reputation on making amazing AAA games, such as GTA 3, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. They would even branch out by making cultural hits such as Manhunt, Manhunt 2, Max Payne 3, GTA Chinatown Wars and Bully. Right when they seemed to push forward into the next evolution of their existence with the releases of GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption, games as a service and microtransactions reared their ugly heads. While GTA 5 was a commercial and critical success, GTA Online and Red Dead Online have become child oriented, microtransaction filled, zombifying games as a service modes. Rockstar even pushed the envelope of greed by releasing gta 5 three times! I fear for the worst. While Red Dead Redemption 2 had a great story, it too was flawed as an actual game! The recent announcement of the gta remasters has cash grab written all over it. I fear for GTA 6's future...
