The cable car project was initiated in 2013 as a project to connect Tünektepe, the coastal hill overlooking the city of Antalya, with the Sarısu Neighborhood on the edge of the Konyaaltı district. This project cost 14 million Turkish Lira.
Antalya has a unique geography, lovely nature, majestic mountains, and a magnificent sea. Tünektepe is a beautiful hill terrace 618 meters (2009 feet) above sea level, where the Bey Mountains meet the Mediterranean Sea.
One of the best ways to observe Antalya from a high spot is to get a ride on the Tünektepe Cable Car called the Tünektepe Teleferik in Turkish. You should definitely add Tünektepe to your route as it's the best attraction in Antalya. You will see a spectacular view of Antalya and get fresh air with the scent of pine trees, all while being able to take amazing pictures of the skyline.

The cable car travels 1,706 meters in about 9 minutes to the top at Tünektepe, about 605 meters above sea level. It has 36 cabins that can hold 8 people each and it can easily carry 1,200 people per hour.
You can find restaurants and cafes at the top. Since the restaurants here are affiliated with the Municipality of Antalya, the prices are quite affordable. Bringing food from outside is not allowed.
There is a playground for children at the upper station. You can enjoy a detailed panoramic view with coin-operated binoculars.
It's better to call before you go on rainy days since the cable car might not be operational due to bad weather conditions.

Tünektepe Cable car is free for children under 6. In 2020, the price per person over 6 years old is 180 TL.
You can use your AntalyaKart, which is also used for urban transportation, for the cable car.
Entrance: The facility is closed on Mondays. Its opening hours are between 10:00 and 18:00.
