Prayer For Peace, by Sean Grimes
This was a song I wrote while anticipating the inevitable war in Iraq. Suffice to say, I didn't think it was a very good idea. This is an expression about how war should always be the last resort. As we await the start of the next one (Wednesday? They say?), my hope is that peace will prevail for our fellow humans living in eastern Europe as well as all over this planet.
I was fortunate enough to have the angelic voice of Julie Reyburn on this. She is that pretty voice in the chorus. She's a world famous cabaret singer that happens to be married to another excellent friend and musician (more on him later). Also, Frank Picarrazzi was (once again) ready willing and able to make this happen, laying down these brilliant drum and key tracks. Again, I am blessed to be able to play with so many amazing musicians throughout my life. THANK YOU!
