How to compress a jazz guitar with elysia mpressor

Reduce THRESHOLD until the meter indicates that the #compressor is operating even in the smoothest passages of the track. For now do not worry about the insane amount of GR that is happening in the louder passages.
Compensate the output GAIN roughly and activate GR LIMIT. Move the pot to the right until the GR meter indicates no more than about 3B. This is forcing the compressor to compress both loud and soft passages but preventing the loud passages from being as over compressed as we saw at the beginning.
Quickly check that GAIN is at UNITY and activate EQ GAIN, this is a special Tilt EQ located after the compressor and can be used to roughly change the general frequency response of the track and simulate circuits of more or less fidelity. EQ FREQ controls the crossing point of the Tilt EQ. In this case, what we want is to make the track a little darker to get closer to the most radical #jazz #guitar tones we dig.
