Gremyachiy Klyuch is a spring on the right bank of the Vondiga River (a right tributary of the Molokcha River), 500 meters south of the village of Vzglyadnevo in the Sergiev Posad District of the Moscow Region. It is the largest and most famous waterfall in the Moscow region, reaching a height of almost 20 meters. It cascades down the Vondiga cliff.
According to legend, the waterfall was created by the prayer of St. Sergius of Radonezh. Today, the approaches to the waterfall have been landscaped, a font, a church, and a chapel have been built, and stairs have been installed along the slopes. The waterfall is a pilgrimage site and a popular tourist attraction.
The name "gremyachiy" means "noisy" or simply "spring, source." The Slavs called springs formed at the site of lightning strikes "Gremyachiye"
