• Square: Auto-Combo
• Triangle: Shoulder Charge [Infinite]
• Circle: Throw and Pounce
• R1+Square: Taunt
• R1+Triangle: Headbutt [Has some kind of spread effect to it]
• R1+Circle: [I don’t quite know what the fuck it is, but I love it. It’s the move where he slides along the floor while putting his hands in the air]
• Square+Triangle: Butterfly Knife Uppercut [Infinite]
• Triangle+Circle: Butterfly Knife Combo
• Circle+Square: [Nothing]
There’s a codebreaker code for Shaolin Monks known as the “Boss Fix Code”, which is known for fixing glitches certain bosses and giving moves back to bosses who lack them when they’re manually hacked. I tried to get it working for Kano here but, unfortunately, no dice. The game would just crash for me personally if I tried to use the codes, unfortunately.
Kano is slightly neutered if you just manually hack to play as him. Many of the bosses are, technically, but it’s significantly more noticeable with Kano, who doesn’t even innately have his projectile attack or his trademark cannonball move. What you get left with is…well, a really bland character honestly. An auto-combo, two infinites, a throw attack, a taunt (for some reason), a relatively useless headbutt, and another combo attack which doesn’t do a whole lot. Kano isn’t really that amazing, even if he did have his other moves, but then again he’s an optional, secret boss in the game, so that is to some extent probably to be expected. The fact that they bothered to include him at all as a secret boss is honestly awesome, and even though like Mileena he feels a bit limited, it’s not really something that ends up impacting upon the boss fight. I mean, he’s not supposed to be played as, so I can’t be too harsh on his moveset, though he’s certainly not a character I’d want to try to playthrough with.
