How to Cancel an Instagram Story Upload

Instagram has added a new feature that allows us to cancel the Instagram story upload, so you won't have to wait for your story to upload and then delete it. Follow these steps to quickly cancel your story upload:
1. **Update Instagram**:
First, go to your App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and search for Instagram.
Ensure you have the latest version of the Instagram application installed on your device, as this is a new feature.
2. **Open Instagram**:
Launch the Instagram app on your device.
3. **Start Uploading a Story**:
Begin the process of uploading a new story.
Select a photo or video that you want to share.
4. **Share Your Story**:
Tap on the share button to start uploading the story to your Instagram account.
This process is the same whether you share it with all of your followers or only with close friends.
5. **Check Upload Progress**:
Tap on your profile picture to see the progress of the story upload.
Note that you won’t see a cancel button in the viewer section.
6. **Cancel the Upload**:
Go to the story that is uploading.
Tap on the three dots at the bottom right corner of the screen.
You will see two options; tap on `Cancel Upload`.
A popup window will appear, informing you that if you cancel your upload, you will lose any changes made unless you save it as a draft.
Choose `Cancel Upload` to stop the upload process.
7. **Confirmation**:
Your Instagram story won't be shared with your followers.
