What happened to pin counts on Pinterest? In this video, I share why Pinterest removed pin counts and why it might benefit your Pinterest for business account.
Pinterest is all about increasing the user-experience with beautifully curated pins and in recent years, some pins dominated the top of the search feed. They accrued a lot of pin counts, but they were possibly not the most relevant content for the search. By removing pin counts, Pinterest is looking to provide the best results through keywords and images. This new change is probably not ideal if you had a past viral pin, but it can benefit younger accounts using keyword rich descriptions and beautiful pin images.
