This series of meetings is dedicated to the figure of Mary of Nazareth – the Mother of Jesus, a woman who has inspired and shaped the faith of millions of people throughout the centuries. We will examine Mary through the lens of biblical stories, cultural contexts, selected Church documents, and theological reflection. What does Scripture teach about Mary? How can we practice Marian spirituality in a way that is consistent with the Gospel? We will also examine Marian spirituality from an ecumenical perspective, particularly in the Lutheran and Anglican traditions.
The webinar will be led by Dr. Marek Kita.

What sense does it make for Christians to remain within a crisis-ridden and deeply compromised institution? Marek Kita argues that it's actually about something else. We don't need to stand firm behind the Church as we know it, but to return to the sources and, at the same time, move forward, toward prophetic challenges. There is a path of critical orthodoxy and the "civic" freedom of believers, which is consistent with loyalty to the Church. To follow this path, you need an honest review of the New Testament, living what is at its core, and an awareness of the evolutionary nature of tradition. The Church is changing, and theology is maturing, argues the author.
