Southwestern Ojibwe, also known as Chippewa, is a Algonquin language spoken across the Great Lakes region of North America. Ojibwe is classified as severely endangered by UNESCO, with an estimated 1,000 to 5,000 native speakers. However, cross-community efforts are currently underway to revitalize the language.
