A series of open lectures for parents, teachers, and psychologists.
We will cover all the diagnostic procedures performed at the Prognoz Clinic. Each lecture is dedicated to a specific diagnostic procedure. You will receive answers to the following questions:
• Who is eligible for this diagnostic procedure?
• At what age is it recommended?
• What do the results indicate?
• How do diagnostic results impact rehabilitation?
• When should diagnostic procedures be repeated?
Cervical vestibular myogenic evoked potentials (cVEMPs)
This reflex is instrumentally assessed, reflecting the degree of myelination of the part of the vestibular system that registers gravity and linear acceleration during head movements.
Hyporeactivity or asymmetry may impair:
• performance
• muscle tone control
• posture
• the ability to engage in intellectual activity in a static position (for example, sitting at a desk)
• the ability to control automatic eye movements
• balance (especially in static positions)
• spatial orientation
• learning to read, write, and perform math
• sensory integration (the ability to process and integrate information from different senses)
How to improve? Audio trainings (A. Tomatis, TLP, inTime, Verbotonal), certain types of physical activity (sensory diet)
