PAUPER IS PAUPER! Why I think changing the pauper rules is a bad decision for the format's future
In this video Kalikaiz discusses the recently spoilered Secret Lair Zeta set and its impact (or lack thereof?!) on the Pauper Format. Gavin Verhey has stated that wotc will be changing the rules of the pauper format to disallow commons from secret lairs. This stomps on the current precedent and rules that ANY common is legal in pauper, regardless of where it came from, if it was on MTGO or a paper product. The pauper format panel has the ability to ban or pre ban cards as it sees fit, but PLEASE DON'T CHANGE THE RULES.
