DIY Smart TV - with RetroPie and Kodi
Saved my dead laptop's LCD screen, replaced its corresponding controller board, hooked it to a raspberry pi with RetroPie and Kodi installed then designed an acrylic enclosure laser cut to fit into the TV.
Thanks to the controller board and the raspberry pi, my dead LCD is now turned into a smart TV that runs nostalgic retro games, and media center that is able to run internet applications on the screen!
