Rajgir in Nalanda district is poised to become the second capital. The tourist city is experiencing all-round development. Many important projects have been completed, and the government is focusing on completing many more soon. Following the completion of the Safari, Nature Safari, International Convention Center, expansion and beautification of Ghoda Katora Hill Lake, Pandu Pokhar, and Venu Forest, an eight-seater cabin ropeway, a new building for Nalanda University, and the Bihar Police Academy, the focus is on the construction of a sports academy and an international cricket stadium. A film city is also under construction.
Sports Academy and International Cricket Stadium Being Built at a Cost of 740 Crores
The sports academy and international cricket stadium being built here are being constructed at a cost of approximately 740 crores. The first phase will cost 633 crores. This stadium is being built with the approval of the BCCI. The BCCI plans to host international matches here. The sports academy will be built on 90 acres and a cricket stadium on 45 acres. The campus will include a library, fitness center, motivation center, swimming pool, cafeteria, research center, and hostel. Separate arrangements will be made for men and women. The facility will be able to accommodate 400 trainees.
