Hi everyone! This is Top 3D Shop, and in this video, we will tell you about FelixFood 3D printers.
Developed by the subsidiary of the Dutch company FelixPrinters, the FelixFood is designed for layer-by-layer production of foods, making it possible to create new dishes unlike traditional ones produced by conventional cooking methods. Uniqueness, personalization and yet repeatability are the main benefits of food 3D printers.
In addition, such machines enable cost savings and the possibility of using unattractive-looking ingredients — just turn them into a paste and fill into the 3D printer.
The current line of FelixFood printers includes three devices. The basic model is equipped with a single food extruder, while the more advanced version speeds up the process of printing the same type of products as it boasts two extruder heads. Finally, the Switch model has a single printhead with two extruders that can be switched during printing, so the user can combine two food pastes in one product.
All three models have the same print area — 270 x 195 millimeters. The working surface of Twin and Switch models is one centimeter narrower than that of the Single version. The building height of FelixFood 3D printers is 170 millimeters. All models are equipped with an autocalibration system.
Special syringes of 100 cubic centimeters are used as cartridges for food pastes. The package includes three nozzles of different diameters to adjust the accuracy and speed of printing, while the platform and cartridges are equipped with a heating system.
All versions of the 3D printer have the same outer dimensions, 510 x 420 x 700 millimeters, and weigh 14 kilograms.
Food pastes for 3D printing are prepared by the user himself. The manufacturer recommends vegetable and fruit purees with the optional addition of thickeners, dough, masses containing chocolate, sugar and cooking fats, as well as other food components.
