Sesame Street - Episode 0158 (1970)
Originally aired on December 16, 1970, it's Episode 0158 of the best darn kids TV show ever! Oscar (Caroll Spinney) puts up a "Wet Paint" sign; the New York Knicks (Mike Riordan, Dick Barnett, Walt Frazier) shoot some lay-ups; Bill Cosby tries a square basketball; Bob (Bob McGrath) plays "Three of These Things" with fruit and knick-knacks; Susan (Loretta Long) sings "If You're Happy and You Know It"; Mr. Hooper (Will Lee) and Gordon (Matt Robinson) decipher Big Bird's (Caroll Spinney) writing; Carlos (not the same at '90s Carlo) translates Bob's joke; kids make shapes with their fingers.
NEW MUPPET STUFF: Bert (Frank Oz) accuses Ernie (Jim Henson) of eating his cookies (spoiler: it was Cookie Monster disguised as Ernie!); Big Bird tells Herbert Birdsfoot (Jerry Nelson) a poem about the "AN" family.
MUPPET REPEATS: Ernie and Bert and the A Machine; Ernie demonstrates an Apple; a group of Monsters look at an A; Hunt for Happiness (3-parter).
REPEAT CARTOONS: "The Story of A", "Jazz #8", "Octopus One-Man Band", "Today's Secret Drawing: Camel", "A for Alligator", "A for Ape", "A for Avalanche" by Cliff Roberts, along with the Alice Braithwaite Goodyshoes "Wet and Dry" one where she's kissed by a monster, which leads into the Ernie, Bert, and Beautiful Day Monster sketch.
