Today we’re tackling a big upgrade for the van: I am going to show you how to install rear door storage using Vandermoon’s Moon Organizers! These organizers are absolute game-changers for maximizing space on the rear doors of your van, and honestly, I don’t think there’s anything else on the market that utilises the rear doors this well.

We’re installing the Moon Organizers Max on both rear doors—they’re rugged, wipeable, and perfect for mountain biking gear, camping, trade tools and equipment or anything that gets messy. I walk you through the process step-by-step: insulating the doors, drilling holes for M5 rivnuts, and bolting everything securely. We even added extra security locks for peace of mind after hearing a wild story about stowaways in a van!
After installation, I loaded up the organizers with mountain biking essentials—trainers, helmets, tools, and even my trusty axe. These organizers hold so much, and the layout makes everything easy to access. They’re perfect for keeping smelly gear out of the cab and freeing up space inside the van.
