In this video, I explain why I decided to rebuild SwiftUI from scratch, a challenge that stands as the toughest in my thirty years of programming. While Apple's SwiftUI framework is excellent for building user interfaces, it often falls short when pushing the boundaries of its capabilities. I share my experiences with SwiftUI's limitations, particularly when attempting to render animations to a virtual camera or integrate video functionalities. These challenges led me to develop RealtimeSwift, a custom solution that overcomes these hurdles. I demonstrate how RealtimeSwift handles transitions, animations, and video sources more effectively than SwiftUI.
