Let's build a Christmas layout in HO scale! Introducing the Santa Fe & Saint Nick, a holiday layout with a Southwestern theme in just 40x60 inches. This short series is aimed at folks just getting started in the hobby, with ready to run equipment, off the shelf materials, and step by step instructions. In episode 1, I build some basic benchwork with a wooden frame and an extruded foam deck that will form a base for the scenery to come.
