Congratulation, Its a great recording! MAXIM VENGEROV
Very innovative in many ways, yet, you are not detaching yourself from music and from the source.I do not know which version I like better, the original version emphasises the polyphonic thinking, and the version with viola clarifies many doubts.I think it will have a full right to a further life in this form. Moreover, the whole is recorded with beautifully sound.CHAPEAU.I take my hat off to you! A big bravo and bravissimo again.

CHACONNE... A Splendid PERFORMANCE.
The author's recording of Bach's Chaconne makes a strong impression. It appears on the album in two versions - the original for solo violin and the one arranged by Kostecki, in which the violin is accompanied by the deep, warm voice of the viola (playing also by Kostecki). However, this is not what is extraordinary, but the splendid interpretation of Chaconne, full of drama, mournful tones with a noble and pure sound.

CHACONNE - VIBRANT and PASSIONATE interpretation of this Bach masterpiece,,
The disc also includes archiva and new recordings presenting two distinct approaches to Johann Sebastian Bach’s famous Chaconne: a traditional rendition for solo violin, and the artist’s own original arrangement, featuring an accompanying viola part that serves Lamentobass und Passus duriusculus as a harmonic foundation.
The central theme of the album is the phenomenon of Bach’s Chaconne—a timeless work that continues to invite fresh and new interpretation.
The recording transports the listener into the realm of a performance aesthetic that has fallen somewhat into oblivion, offering the opportunity to marvel at the timbre of a old Italian instrument, as well as at a mature yet vibrant and passionate interpretation of this Bach masterpiece.

CHACONNE… His performance on violin alone is one of the better ones that I have heard.
He concentrates on clarity of voice leading and uses subtle agogic accents to good effect. He plays in the grand tradition of the great tonalists of the 20th Century, like Oistrakh... Best of all, he plays with absolute emotional commitment.
Kostecki’s beautiful tone and sensitive phrasing make this a very engaging performance with.
