Jarl-Hugo Låstad aka Jarlii - Vind 2007
I seem to remember that I started working on Vind in 2002. It was at that time that I met the sound engineer Eirik Grønner, and with his help I was able to record it in 2007. I didn't have any effect modules or other aids, such as delay or reverb. That's why I think the sound image can seem a bit poor at times, but for me it's a piece of music that was created with the digital equipment that I had at the time.
The music was also performed live on Midsummer's Eve, Saturday, June 23, 2007, at our annual bohemian party. In 35 minutes I painted the Midsummer's Eve bonfire, but towards the end I learned that the police had been called, and that took some of the spark away from me. The police didn't disturb us, however.
It was a beautiful night, the bonfire was built entirely of wood and no plastic materials were used. It was 4 meters high, and it burned almost all night. The shower of sparks stood against a deep, blue and cloudless sky, in front of about 140 guests.
