Permutations and Combinations Problems - 3 Digit Even Number (Repetition Allowed)
Learn to Solve Permutations and Combinations Problems in Mathematics. This tutorial will show you how to find total 3 digit even numbers if repetition of the digits are not allowed.
This question we are solving by principle of counting method. We have 6 digits, 1,2,3,4,5,6 and we have to make 3 digit even number.
As, we have to make even number so, the once place of the 3 digit number must be a even number either 2 or 4 or 6 , it can be written in 3 ways
But, as repetition is allowed, we can write tense place by 6 ways and so does hundredth place.
So total 3 digit even numbers that we can write is 6.6.3 = 108.
