#69 Using a Split Cup & Cell Activator in this Acrylic Paint Pour Swipe - Cells & Lacing Galore!
So…I just got done with a commission that required numerous shades of primary colors, so I had some paints leftover and didn’t want to waste them. You’ll see the picture in the video of all the paints - whatever was left of each color (like blue), I combined them all into one cup and that’s what I’m using in this video.
Black base was Artists Loft Soft Body in black, white base was Creative Inspirations Titanium White. ALL the paints used here were mixed with 3p mix, 1p Liquitex Gloss PM and 1p Golden GAC-800.
Cell activator is Amsterdam Titanium White mixed 1p to 3p Australian Floetrol.
Consistency is pretty thick - watch how the paint falls off the stick video. It mounds up and it leaves a very vivid trace. Poured on a 15”x30” deep canvas.

**I got into acrylic pouring after playing around with epoxy resin and wanting to do some art with it. After realizing the amount of time it took to prep and clean up, it wasn’t quite as appealing to me anymore. That’s when I stumbled onto some YouTube videos about acrylic pouring and I WAS HOOKED. This was in 2020, and with COVID running rampant, it was the perfect thing to keep me occupied and staying home, safe and sound. This art form is extremely cathartic and empowering at the same time.
