Dayne Cowan: An Insight Into The Visual Effect Industry
On 30 September 2014, Dayne Cowan, who has amassed over 20 years of VFX experience, shared how VFX engineers are a crucial part of creating Hollywood blockbusters.
As the former Head of 3D at Double Negative (London), he showed examples of how Production Engineers, combine programming skills with visual abilities to create tools, applications, plug-ins and scripts for visual effects (VFX) production, such as dynamics/ simulations, character rigging or pipeline optimisation. Dayne Cowan is currently the VFX Program Director at 3dsense Media School and Board Member of the Visual Effects Society.
