Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today on 10 December 2025. We begin today's video with flooded streets in Polokwane and Modimolle in the Limpopo Province, South Africa today. Good rains inland at Pretoria and Vryheid in the KZN. Hail and a lightning strike very close to home at Vryheid in KZN. It hailed and rained in Pretoria and Kimberley today. We then also attend the Muddy Princess at Sandringham Farm in Stellenbosch. We watch as ten penguins released this morning by Birdlife Pletttenberg Bay after months of rehabilitation. Fishermen at Fish Hoek this morning. A nyala bull was next to the road on the H4-1 near Lower Sabie Rest Camp in Kruger National Park today. We will also show you several other locations across South Africa today.
The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows:
A cold front is bringing chilly, wet weather to the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal Province today, while scattered storms will develop across the east, some of which may become severe. Out west, it’s a different story with temperatures pushing 40 degrees. There’s a Level 2 warning for dangerous thunderstorms across eastern North West Province, Free State Province, Gauteng Province, most of Limpopo Province, and the Mpumalanga Highveld, where you can expect heavy rain that’ll flood low-lying roads and bridges, intense lightning, hail, and strong winds that could knock down trees and power lines.
